Community Service

“True happiness lies in helping others”. I feel satisfied from within when I am able to lend a helping hand to people in need. To make the world a better place, I had also undertaken the work of building an affordable water purifier as well as developed an application to uplift the visually impaired. During my 12th grade summer break, I decided to work with different NGOs to promote child education and advocate for child rights. It has been an extremely humbling experience. I could empathise with the underprivileged children and it only made me realise how big of an impact I can make in society.

CRY(Child Rights and You) NGO:

During my period of volunteering in the Children for Children campaign, I was involved in research, advocacy and fundraising for child rights. I helped raise Rs. 3.5 lakhs! It was a magical experience to know how many people in the world are willing to donate for a noble cause. Through my research and advocacy, I am beyond happy to have reached out to so many people regarding child labour, an urgent issue.

Sewa Bharti NGO:

I volunteered at Sewa Bharti, Ashok Vihar for one month as a computer instructor for students. I would teach them computers for 2 hours everyday. My time at Sewa Bharti has instilled a spirit of giving back to my community. Being around other children my age who are less fortunate has helped me to be more grateful, understand their situation, and make new friends!
